Beyond the typical urban planning discussions, this project unveils an exciting initiative to spark dynamic conversations about urban landscapes. It dives into the premise that cities, far from being static backdrops, are intricate "designed objects" constantly evolving through a rich tapestry of ideas and historical influences.
Given that most of us live in cities, a conversation on cities helps us understand who we are, and helps us engage with the real problems and pressures shaping the urban environment now.
Inspired by Conrad Hamann's "Urban Emulation" seminar series, "The Super Urban Podcast" is used as a platform to bridge historical urban insights with pressing contemporary issues, from architectural debates to housing affordability. It aims to engage the design community and a broader audience in discussions about cities as historical artifacts, sites for contemporary debates, material infrastructure, and realms of competing ideas.
