The Alastair Swayn Foundation is thrilled to announce the winners of our second and final round of grants for 2020. The Research and Strategic streams were particularly competitive, and we are delighted to reveal the 6 winning projects:

It is with great pleasure that the Foundation congratulates the winners of the inaugural round of the 2020 grants program. We were overwhelmed by the high-calibre of submissions. The selected projects cover a diverse range of topics which address contemporary issues facing of the Australian architecture and the design community.

In an appointment that will showcase Australian design in all its forms, Ms Erickson will lead the creation of a new National Museum curatorial centre: the Swayn Centre for Australian Design.

Two Canberra architecture students have been awarded the inaugural Alastair Swayn Internship, which was established by the ACT Government to honour Alastair Swayn’s contribution to the ACT.
