Thursday 19 November 2026
5.30 – 8.30pm
National Museum of Australia, Canberra
This year, the Alastair Swayn Foundation marks ten years.
It began with Alastair's conviction that design matters — to how we live, how we connect, and most importantly, to how we build a better and more equitable world. A decade on, that conviction has become a body of work: across research, education, exhibition, and events — and a community of people that has grown with it.
The evening will feature a lecture by designer and urbanist Professor Dan Hill, with a Q&A led by design advocate Tim Ross, and will conclude with a cocktail reception in the Gandel Atrium at the National Museum of Australia.
Ten years in. The next ten start now. We hope you'll join us.
